![]() Inner Gaze began in the Summer of 2006. Husband and wife Jon and Carrie Robb began Inner Gaze with the hope of healing others. Presently Inner Gaze only offers Carrie’s services, though the couple hopes to one day have Jon’s speech therapy services available as well. Carrie began her journey towards helping others shortly after experiencing the transforming and profound nature of yoga herself. After her first asana class Carrie knew she would one day become a teacher. Yoga is her absolute passion. All of Carrie's yoga training has been and continues to be through her teacher, Parvathi Nanda Nath Saraswati. Parvathi's teachings come from the 7,000 year lineage and tradition of the Saraswati River Yoga masters. The tradition itself arose from the masters and their appreciation for the feminine: that being "Shakti" or the power of wisdom, desire, creativity and beauty. While the Saraswati River Yoga tradition does not involve asana primarily, those trained with Parvathi studied asana as well, to create an integrated and expansive method of teaching. Carrie, having been trained by Parvathi, is part of the continuation of this ancient lineage. She is very grateful to Parvathi and feels very blessed to be carrying on this beautiful tradition. Carrie chose to expand her experiences in healing when she began her studies in massage. Carrie’s training took place at the Health Choices Institute and Holistic Massage School as well as the Upledger Institute. Carrie’s decision to become a yoga instructor and massage therapist evolved from her innate desire and ability to heal. She sincerely loves helping others and is enthralled by the freedom and contentment her work brings. |
